South Capitol, aptly named due to its location just South of the State Capitol building, was established to accommodate the bustling railroad industry. With a diverse array of homes, from older adobe homes to brick homes to bungalows, it is a lovely tapestry of architectural styles and is a favorite residential area. In addition, the broad, well-planned sidewalks make it a charming, easily walkable commute to downtown.
